Dear Colleague
The CWU met with Manpower on the 1 June to open discussions on the 2006 pay review for those individuals working on the Cable & Wireless Contract at
The CWU presented their pay
claim to Manpower which was for a significant pay increase over and above the
current rate of inflation to the amount of 6%.
Manpower responded by stating
that there were significant financial and commercial challenges that needed to
be faced not only in the operator service market in general, but also within
Cable & Wireless.
It was agreed that Manpower would consider the terms of the CWU claim and a further meeting has been arranged to meet on the
