Retired Members Section

 

 

 

The summer is over for us (what summer I hear you say).

 

It has been a busy time for the section officers, Conferences in May & June, SPF meetings (Scottish Pensioners Forum), Committees and sub-committees. It is all ongoing but well worthwhile when we get good results.

 

Our Section meetings start on Thursday 13^th September 10.30 am –12.30 pm in St. Stephen’s Church Meeting Room, Bath Street. Tea & Coffee will be provided.

 

Reports will be given on the events during the summer recess and the coming programme of meetings and functions. We look forward to welcoming you. The premises have disabled access.

 

Committee members please note that there will be a committee meeting on Thursday 6^th September.

 

It is sad to report that the two members mentioned in the last newsletter have passed away. John Cameron on 28^th June and Lawrie McMenamin on 17^th July

 

They were both Branch Secretary for many years and were well respected for their work for the Labour & Trade Union movement.
